Land at MEX. Taxi to Condesa or Roma Norte. Evening walking Parque México, dinner at Contramar (the famous lunch-only seafood restaurant — book or eat as an early dinner).

Morning at the Museo Nacional de Antropología (allow 3-4 hours — the Maya, Aztec, and Olmec collections are world-class). Lunch at a pulquería or a centro-histórico cantina. Afternoon at Palacio Nacional (Diego Rivera murals), Templo Mayor, Zócalo.

Day 3
Mexico City · Coyoacán + Teotihuacán
Morning at Frida Kahlo's Casa Azul in Coyoacán (book 2-4 weeks ahead). Lunch at El Bajío. Afternoon at Teotihuacán (50 km north, 1h drive) — climb the Pyramid of the Sun for the sunset.

Day 4
Fly Mexico City → Oaxaca
Morning flight MEX → OAX (1h). Check into Oaxaca hotel. Afternoon walking the Zócalo, Santo Domingo church, the craft markets on 20 de Noviembre Street. Dinner at Origen (Rodolfo Castellanos) or Los Danzantes.

Oaxaca · Monte Albán + mezcal
Morning at Monte Albán (UNESCO-listed Zapotec archaeological site, 1h from Oaxaca). Lunch at Hierve el Agua (calcified-mineral waterfalls) or back in town. Afternoon mezcal distillery tour at Mal de Amor or Rancho el Tule. Dinner in Oaxaca.

Day 6
Oaxaca · cooking class + market day
Morning Oaxacan cooking class (Casa Crespo or Oaxaca Food Academy) — includes Mercado Benito Juárez market visit. Afternoon at the Wednesday Etla market (if Wednesday) or the Sunday Tlacolula market (if Sunday). Dinner back in Oaxaca.

Day 7
Fly Oaxaca → Mérida
Morning flight OAX → MID (2h, via MEX). Check into Mérida hotel. Evening walking Paseo de Montejo, dinner at La Chaya Maya (traditional Yucatecan — cochinita pibil, sopa de lima, papadzules).

Mérida · Uxmal + Celestún cenotes

Day 9
Chichén Itzá + Valladolid
Pre-dawn drive to Chichén Itzá (2h) for first-entry at 08:00 before the tour buses from Cancun arrive. 2 hours at the site (the Kukulkan pyramid, the Ball Court, the sacred cenote). Lunch in Valladolid. Afternoon return to Mérida.

Depart Mérida
