Price Watch

We watch the price. You decide when to book.

Tell us a route or save a trip and we keep an eye on it, then email you when the price moves. Six ways in, one idea. Prices are estimates from cached fares and rates, and we say which below.

How it works

  1. Tell us what to watch. A route and a ceiling, a saved scan, or a trip you save.
  2. We re-check the price. Daily for trips, picks and bookings. Fare alerts follow the cached route fares.
  3. One email when it moves. With the link to book or to stop watching.

The six watchers

Fare alert

Free

Pick a route and a ceiling price. We email you when fares on that route drop below it.

Price source: Cached fares for the route (Travelpayouts), not one specific flight.

Search a route

Date scan alert

Free with an account

Scan a range of dates in Flight Intelligence, save the scan, and we email if its best price falls by more than 10%.

Price source: Cached fares for the route and dates (Travelpayouts).

Budget alert

One free, more with Dispatch+

Set a budget on a saved fare scan and we email when its price reaches it.

Pick watch

Dispatch+

Tap Watch price on a hotel or flight you shortlisted in the trip planner. We re-price it daily and email only when it drops.

Booking Watch

Coming soon

The plan is to let you forward a flight or hotel confirmation so we can keep watching it after you book.

Price source: Not live yet, so it is not part of what Dispatch+ includes today.

What “estimate” means

Flight watches read fares cached for the route, so they tell you the route got cheaper, not that your exact flight did. Hotel watches read rates for the same property, which is closer to what you would book. In both cases the price you pay is the one on the booking page, so check it there. We may earn a commission if you book through a link.

Dispatch+ lifts the free limits above and adds pick watches on your shortlist. Prices stay estimates either way.

Questions

What does “estimate” mean here?

Our watchers read prices we can see without booking: fares cached from Travelpayouts for a route, and hotel rates from LiteAPI. They are good for telling you a price moved. They are not a quote for the exact seat or room you would be sold, so confirm the price on the booking page before you pay.

Why a route price and not my exact flight?

Flight watches compare fares on the route, not a specific itinerary or fare class. A drop on the route does not guarantee your exact flight dropped, and a flight can get cheaper without us seeing it. Hotel watches look at the same property, so they sit closer to what you would book.

How do I stop a watch?

Fare alert emails carry a link to manage or stop the alert. Budget alerts and trip watches can be switched off on the trip in My Trips. If you want an alert gone and cannot find the control, write to us from the contact page.

How often are prices checked?

Trip, pick and booking watches are re-priced once a day. Alert emails go out only when a price has moved enough to matter, so a quiet inbox usually means nothing changed.
