What's open on Sundays in Santorini?

Almost everything in Santorini runs seven days a week from roughly late April through October, because the island's economy is built entirely around tourism and the season is short. Restaurants, bars, wine tasting rooms, shops in Fira and Oia, boat tours, and most museums keep their standard hours on Sundays without any reduction. The Archaeological Museum of Thera in Fira and the Museum of Prehistoric Thera follow their posted hours, though both close on Mondays, not Sundays. The notable exception is government offices and banks, which are closed. Supermarkets in Fira, Perissa, and Kamari generally stay open, though hours may shorten slightly. If you're visiting in the shoulder months of November through March, the picture changes significantly: many restaurants and most shops shutter entirely for the off-season regardless of the day of the week, and you'll be working with a much smaller subset of operating businesses.
