How do I get from the airport to the city in London?
London has five airports, so the answer depends on which one you're landing at. Heathrow is the most common, and the Piccadilly line runs directly into central London for £6.70; the faster Heathrow Express to Paddington takes 15 minutes and costs £25 but adds little practical value unless you're paying on corporate expenses. From Gatwick, the Gatwick Express to Victoria runs every 15 minutes for about £19.90 and takes 30 minutes. Stansted is served by the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street (£19.40, 47 minutes). Luton connects via a short shuttle bus to Luton Airport Parkway station, then a Thameslink train to St Pancras for roughly £17 total. London City Airport is the easiest — the Elizabeth line puts you in Canary Wharf in eight minutes. For all of them, avoid taxis from the rank unless you're splitting the cost; they're expensive and rarely faster than the rail options during peak hours.
