Hilton has opened Motto by Hilton Guadalajara Centro Historico, a 154-room lifestyle hotel occupying a restored Art Deco building from the 1950s in the city's historic district. The property, owned and developed by Grupo Megaterra, stands one block from Plaza Fundadores and marks the second Motto by Hilton location in Mexico.

The building was originally designed by Agustín Acevedo as a residential apartment complex and represents local functionalist Art Deco design, according to Hilton. The conversion retains the structure's modernist character while adapting it to the brand's compact-room format and neighborhood-focused approach.

"Guadalajara is a city defined by culture, creativity and energy, making it a natural fit for the Motto brand," said Maxime Verstraete, vice president of brand management for the Caribbean and Latin America at Hilton. "With this opening, we are offering travelers a new way to experience the city through thoughtfully designed spaces, flexible accommodations and a stay that feels connected to the neighborhood around them."

The hotel features what Hilton describes as cleverly compact rooms with flexible configurations, alongside locally inspired food and beverage programming. Its location places Teatro Degollado and the Instituto Cultural Cabañas within walking distance, along with other landmarks in Guadalajara's core.

The opening extends Hilton's lifestyle-brand footprint in the Caribbean and Latin America, a region where the company has been expanding its presence. Motto by Hilton, designed for urban markets, emphasizes proximity to cultural and social activity over traditional full-service amenities.

The property is now open for bookings in Guadalajara, Jalisco.
