Delta said Wednesday it is overhauling its Delta One business class cabin with new menus, a revamped drink program and upgraded amenities, describing the changes as its biggest product redesign in nearly 30 years. The rollout starts this fall on transoceanic Delta One flights out of Los Angeles International Airport, a hub where Delta says it carries more premium seats than any rival, before expanding across the airline's global network in early 2027.
Ranjan Goswami, Delta's chief marketing and product officer, said the redesign is meant to address specific passenger needs rather than offer cosmetic polish. "Delta's fully reimagined experience is rooted in solving real customer needs and desires, with intentionality behind every detail," Goswami said, adding that the changes reflect "our relentless focus on raising the bar while giving customers greater control throughout their journey." The airline frames the project as building on more than $1 billion it has already put into its fleet.

New dishes, bourbon and sake join the cabin
The centerpiece is a reworked Delta One menu built around what the airline calls elevated classics, including a new wagyu burger, a Hong Kong-style sea bass dish and a Champagne Taittinger sorbet pairing. Tableware and service sequencing are also changing, which Delta says gives passengers more choice and comfort during meal service. Pre-selection options are expanding too: gluten-free and lighter-fare choices join the menu, and passengers prioritizing sleep can pre-arrange rest-focused meals. The window for choosing a main course pre-flight is growing by six hours, now opening 18 hours before departure instead of 12.
On the drinks side, Delta is adding Blanton's, a sought-after single-barrel bourbon, to Delta One service starting , according to One Mile at a Time. A new wine program developed with Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson will bring in Napa labels and expand the airline's existing Champagne Taittinger partnership; the outlet notes the lineup includes Silver Oak, a wine that retails around $200 a bottle. Japanese sake brand DASSAI 45 joins flights to and from Tokyo-Haneda beginning . A new cocktail and mocktail menu featuring takes on the Hugo Spritz and Paloma arrives later, landing on international flights in and domestic flights the following month.
Amenity kits and bedding get refreshed too
Delta is also refreshing its winter amenity kits and adding a Missoni Mini pillow for ultra-long-haul flights, joining the existing mattress pad, memory foam cuddle pillow, slippers and eye mask; those updates take effect . Bombas socks are being added on select domestic and international routes as part of the same push.
| Feature | Effective date |
|---|---|
| DASSAI 45 Sake, Missoni Mini pillow, refreshed amenity kits | November 3, 2026 |
| Blanton's bourbon | December 1, 2026 |
| Full global network expansion | Early 2027 |
| New cocktails/mocktails, international flights | March 2027 |
| New cocktails/mocktails, domestic flights | April 2027 |
The staggered timeline means Delta One passengers flying out of Los Angeles this fall will see the new menu and tableware first, while fliers elsewhere won't get the full package until the airline's early-2027 network-wide expansion. Travelers with upcoming Delta One bookings on international routes can expect further rollout announcements as each amenity and drink feature reaches its effective date.
