How do I get from the airport to the city in Paris?
Take the RER B train from either Charles de Gaulle or Orly — it's the fastest and cheapest option for most travelers. From CDG, trains run every 10-15 minutes from terminals 2 and 3 (Terminal 1 requires a free CDGVAL shuttle), dropping you at Gare du Nord, Châtelet-Les Halles, or Saint-Michel in roughly 35 minutes for around €11.50. From Orly, take the Orlyval automated shuttle to Antony station, then transfer to the RER B heading north into the city; total time is about 35 minutes and costs roughly €13.50. Buy your ticket before boarding and keep it until you exit the gate or inspectors will fine you. Taxis from CDG run €50-55 (flat rate) to the Right Bank and €58-62 to the Left Bank, useful if you have heavy luggage or are arriving late. The Roissybus (€16.60) connects CDG directly to Opéra in about an hour, traffic permitting.
