The S9 and S45 S-Bahn lines also serve the airport and are slower but stop at more stations, useful if you're heading to Neukölln or Treptow. All three options depart from the terminal basement, clearly signed from arrivals. A single trip ticket covering all three zones (ABC) is what you need and covers the full journey into the city center. Taxis are available but expensive, typically €50-70 to Mitte. Uber operates in Berlin and runs cheaper than taxis. Buy tickets at the yellow BVG machines before boarding; inspectors check regularly and the fine for fare-dodging is €60.
