Skift has unveiled the winners of its 2026 IDEA Awards, honoring 32 projects and organizations deemed most innovative in shaping the travel industry's future. The awards drew a record-breaking 492 submissions, according to the announcement released this week.
The recognized winners span seven distinct award groupings designed to capture different facets of industry innovation. These include Industry Innovators, which spotlights forward-thinking projects driving sectors forward; Change-Makers, celebrating organizations leveraging travel as a force for positive impact; and Creative Thinkers, recognizing marketing, strategy and technology that inspires the field. Additional categories honor Problem Solvers addressing business challenges, Travel Technology providers offering innovative solutions, and dedicated sections for Short-Term Rentals and Meetings & Events—the latter presented by Skift Meetings.

Among the winners, Virgin Hotels Collection and Virgin Limited Edition received recognition in the hospitality category for what was described as redefining modern luxury through regenerative hospitality practices.
