Radisson Hotel Group Deploys ChatGPT Booking Tool Across Global Portfolio
The hotel group has partnered with Accenture to introduce an AI-powered booking assistant covering more than 1,000 properties in over 100 countries.
Radisson Hotel Group has rolled out a ChatGPT-based booking application in collaboration with Accenture, enabling direct reservations across its portfolio of more than 1,000 hotels spanning over 100 countries, according to a report Tuesday.
The artificial intelligence tool represents the hospitality company's latest effort to streamline the booking process through conversational technology. By integrating OpenAI's large language model into its direct booking channel, the group aims to offer guests an interactive interface for searching availability, comparing rates, and completing reservations without navigating traditional website menus.
The deployment with Accenture marks a significant scaling of AI-assisted booking in the hotel sector. While individual properties and smaller chains have experimented with chatbot technology, Radisson's implementation brings the capability to a multinational footprint in a single launch. The system is designed to handle natural-language queries across multiple languages and time zones, potentially reducing friction for international travelers unfamiliar with conventional booking platforms.
Industry observers note that direct booking channels have become increasingly strategic for hotel groups seeking to reduce reliance on third-party distribution platforms and the commission costs they entail. AI-driven booking tools may further incentivize guests to book directly by offering an experience that rivals—or exceeds—the convenience of online travel agencies.
The Radisson initiative arrives as generative AI applications proliferate across travel and hospitality. Airlines, car rental firms, and vacation rental platforms have all announced or piloted similar conversational booking assistants in recent months, betting that voice- and text-based interfaces will appeal to a growing segment of digitally native consumers.
Neither Radisson Hotel Group nor Accenture disclosed implementation timelines, cost savings projections, or performance benchmarks for the new booking system.
