Hilton Honors Points Now Unlock 550+ SLH Boutique Hotels

- Who's affected: Hilton Honors members booking eligible stays through Hilton channels at participating SLH hotels.
- Where: More than 550 SLH properties in nearly 90 countries, including Denmark, the Italian Alps and the Caribbean.
- When: The partnership launched in and continues to expand.
- What to do: Book eligible SLH stays through Hilton booking channels to earn Points, or redeem existing Points for reward stays at participating properties.
Hilton says its Honors members can now earn and redeem Points at more than 550 Small Luxury Hotels of the World properties, a partnership the company is spotlighting as a way to stretch loyalty points beyond its own branded portfolio. The arrangement, which Hilton struck with SLH in 2024, covers independent boutique hotels in nearly 90 countries, according to Hilton's newsroom.
The appeal, Hilton says, is variety. SLH's roster runs from waterfront retreats in Denmark to mountain hideaways in the Italian Alps, boutique resorts in the Caribbean, vineyard estates and even treehouse lodges. Unlike Hilton's typical large-scale branded hotels, SLH properties average just 44 rooms each, built around the idea of small, design-driven, independently owned stays rather than standardized chain service.

How the points flow works
Members earn Points on eligible stays at participating SLH hotels when they book through Hilton's own channels, rather than through SLH directly or third-party sites. Those Points can then be redeemed later for reward stays at any participating SLH property, the same way members redeem for a standard Hilton-branded hotel. Hilton says members keep access to standard Hilton Honors program benefits during these reward stays, giving the SLH collection functional parity with Hilton's own brands inside the loyalty ecosystem.
Hilton frames the deal as a deliberate expansion of where members can use points they've already accumulated through paid stays, credit card spending or other Hilton Honors partners. "These properties complement Hilton's expanding luxury global portfolio and provide members with even more opportunities to earn and redeem Points in destinations where they may not have previously been able to stay with Hilton Honors," the company said.
Filling gaps in Hilton's luxury map
The SLH tie-up effectively extends Hilton Honors into markets and niche categories the company's own luxury brands may not reach — remote islands, countryside estates and design-forward city hotels that wouldn't otherwise carry a Hilton flag. Hilton positions this as part of a broader strategy of giving Honors members more flexibility in how and where they redeem, rather than confining the program's value to its directly managed and franchised properties.
The article is part of Hilton's "Point Taken" series, an ongoing effort by the company to explain features and value within Hilton Honors to its membership base. For travelers curious whether a specific SLH property participates, Hilton directs members to book through Hilton's own channels to confirm eligibility for earning and redemption before making reservations.
