How do I get from the airport to the city in Milan?
Milan has two main airports, and the right route depends on which one you land at. From Malpensa (MXP), the Malpensa Express train runs directly to Cadorna or Centrale stations every 30 minutes, takes about 50 minutes, and costs around €13; it's the cleanest option. There are also Malpensa Shuttle buses to Centrale for roughly €10, but they're slower in traffic. From Linate (LIN), which handles many European flights, take bus 73 to San Babila (a central Metro stop) for €2, or the newer M4 metro line, which now connects Linate directly to the city center in about 30 minutes for €1.50 and is the easiest option if you land there. Taxis from either airport are metered but expensive, running €50-90 depending on traffic and destination. Avoid unlicensed drivers who approach you in arrivals; official Milan taxis are white. Orio al Serio (BGY), used by Ryanair, is 45 kilometers out and served by Terravision and Autostradale coaches to Centrale for around €5-7.
