Margot Verhoeven is editor-at-large at destination.com, covering luxury hotels, remote destinations, and the psychology of quiet travel. Before joining in 2025 she spent six years as a senior editor at Condé Nast Traveler, where she edited the annual Hot List and Readers' Choice Awards. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, Monocle, and the Financial Times. She is based in Lisbon and has reported from 62 countries; this quarter she has been in the Baa and Haa Alifu atolls.
